Lead with Character.
Avenir Next carries the body copy: readable, calm, and out of the way. Rockwell is the Floyd Central signature — slab, confident, and used for headlines, numbers, and anything that should feel like it belongs on a scoreboard.
Rockwell BoldHeadlines, stat numbers, buttons, labels. Set tight.
Avenir NextBody copy, captions, long-form. Set at a comfortable 1.5–1.6 line height.
The mark

The interlocking FC and the Highlander.

The monogram is the everyday mark. The Highlander is used for spirit, gameday, and moments that need the full character.

Usage

Two rules do most of the work.

Do
  • Lead with green. Let gold be the accent that lands.
  • Put gold text on green or dark backgrounds only.
  • Give the mark clear space equal to the height of the C.
  • Use the Lady Highlander with equal weight and size.
  • Write plainly. Proud, direct, never boastful.
Don't
  • Set gold text on white — it fails to read. Use green instead.
  • Recolor, stretch, rotate, or add effects to the mark.
  • Substitute a look-alike typeface for Rockwell.
  • Use the mark to imply a partnership that isn't real.
  • Publish a student's name or photo without media consent.

Partners, press, and student media.

Sponsors, local media, and student groups are welcome to use the Floyd Central Athletics marks in ways that represent the school accurately. Take the kit below — it has the files and the rules together. If you are unsure whether a use is appropriate, ask the athletic office at (812) 542-8504.
